Wizz Air flight from Brussels to Budapest delayed by 18 hours

Causes of the Delay

The trouble began when the aircraft moved out of the terminal and started taxiing toward the runway. During this process, slush sprayed onto the aircraft, triggering error signals from its sensors. This prompted technicians to conduct a thorough inspection to identify any potential issues. Additionally, the plane required de-icing before it could depart, but there was a shortage of de-icing fluid, further delaying the flight amidst the cold weather conditions.

Impact on Other Flights

The delay also affected other flights at the airport. In response, Wizz Air made efforts to keep passengers informed and provided meal vouchers to those impacted by the wait.
