Most large grocery chains will operate under holiday hours on December 31:

- Tesco: Closes at 18:00 (closed on January 1)

- Aldi & Lidl: Open until 16:00 (closed on January 1)

- CBA and Prima: Varying hours on December 31 (closed on January 1)

For those looking to shop, gas stations, emergency pharmacies, newsstands, florists, sweet shops, restaurants, pubs, and small neighborhood stores will remain open on both days.

Pharmacies and Healthcare

Pharmacies will generally follow standard weekday hours on December 31, with some closing at 14:00. On January 1, only 24-hour pharmacies and those on duty will be open.
